We’ve seen bike lane debates in neighborhoods like Prospect Heights and Williamsburg, but there’s a different type of battle that’s been brewing between bicyclists and pedestrians on the Brooklyn Bridge and other East River crossings. The Department of Transportation thinks Pedestrian Safety Managers are the solution.
We’re curious to know: what do you think of the city’s implementation of the neon-vested Safety Managers? Are there other solutions the city should explore to keep both pedestrians and bicyclists safe?
